Dear Reader, I hope you’ve had a great start to 2025. Today is International Data Privacy Day, a day to raise awareness and promote privacy and data protection best practices! Ok, so it may not be up there with the Christmas and Thanksgiving in terms of all-time great holidays, but it’s a day I take seriously as your web designer and want to remind my clients to protect their data and websites! Finally, make sure your website policies are up-to-date with current privacy laws. More laws are going into effect than ever before (five new ones have already gone into effect in 2025) and website owners are expected to keep up with it all.. Trust me when I say trying to do this yourself is intimidatingly complicated. If you don’t have a plan (or attorney) already, I highly recommend considering the tool I use for my own website policies: Termageddon.
